The penultimate week of the workshop of the project “Gift of Creativity – a small school of art” took place in classrooms full of children and excitement because of the upcoming exhibition of children’s works at the festival Gift of Creativity.
The children drew animals with graphite pencils, crayons and felt-tip pens. The works of more experienced children included: a dog, a penguin, a squirrel, while those who participated in the workshop for the first time decided to draw simpler animals: snails, fish, birds.
At the second workshop, we talked about the concept of “desire”, what desires mean to us and what it takes to make them come true. The children listed the most important wishes they have, and we wrote it all down on the board. Among the first wishes were health, finished school, friendship and that the inn lasted a long time. Then there were wishes that the children have an elephant, a scooter, roller skates, a trip around the world, a phone, a bicycle. When most of the important wishes were written on the board, the children were given the task to draw some of the wishes they imagined on paper of their choice. We talked about how important work and hard work are so that we can make our wishes come true, and how much patience and perseverance are an inseparable part of that process. Wishes have turned into countless small coloristic works, which we hope are on a safe path to come true.
