We are ASK!
Association for Affirmation of Culture – ASK is an association of citizens that has been affirming various aspects of culture in the daily life of citizens, especially young people, for more than seven years. As an organization primarily engaged in humanitarian activities, over time, through more than 100 different projects, fundraising campaigns and consulting services for more than 30,000 young people, ASK itself has grown.
Today, ASK empowers young people to become active agents of change in their local communities through various areas such as activism, strengthening employability skills and caring for the environment. In addition to the project activities, ASK also launched the ASK Education Center , in order to provide additional knowledge and skills to all interested parties through additional educational elements.
In order to more transparently spend funds for the realization of one of the most recognizable and financially largest projects, the founders of ASK founded another association called ” Lighthouse of Knowledge “, which essentially represents a part of the Association for the Affirmation of Culture, whose members deal with the implementation of the Lighthouse of Knowledge projects.

We are sure that the way to create a fairer, healthier and better society for everyone is in solidarity and helping, educating and affirming all aspects of culture in people’s daily lives.
Our focus is on humanitarian work, education and youth activism and ecology, ie environmental protection.

Andrej Balanč
Executive Director
Short biography
Andrej is the founder and Executive Director of ASK. Committed to details and believes that a kind word opens iron doors. He balances between “ideas” and the planet Earth, he is committed to achieving the long-term goals of the organization and the perfect implementation of projects. He likes to read and travel.
Filip Isailović
Director of Operations
Short biography
Filip is co-founder and director of operations at ASK. He is a lawyer by profession, and in ASK he is responsible for efficient and effective operations and proper management of human resources. He uses his skills and knowledge to change the world little by little, since he is a convinced humanist and activist. In his free time, he is engaged in sports activities.
Igor Kozomara
CFO
Short biography
Igor is the Financial Director, but also one of the co-founders of ASK. He has been with us since the very beginning, and he applies his many years of work experience in the civil sector to help ASK grow and advance year after year.
Ana Delić
Director of the ASK Education Center
Short biography
Ana is a member of the ASK board of directors and the director of the ASK Education Center. With the help of her efforts and work, as well as many years of professional experience, she supervises all the activities of the ASK Education Center and takes care that they are carried out flawlessly.

Maja Rubin
Senior operations manager
Short biography
Maja is the Senior Operations Manager and is in charge of making our projects run flawlessly. She fills the team members with new ideas constantly, except when she is hungry and roaming. She has many years of experience in working on projects and is passionate about marketing. She likes to watch series and aspires to travel the whole world.
Marina Božić
Office manager
Short biography
Marina is in charge of ensuring that all work and events at ASK and the ASK Education Center go smoothly. She is a student of English in Belgrade and hopes to gain new knowledge and acquaintances at ASK. She loves animals, so she’ll be happy to babysit your dog if you drop by with him, and in her spare time, she makes series and book reading marathons.

Many years of experience in the areas of management and service delivery, with a narrow focus in the fields of project development, standardization and event organization.

Jelena Vasiljević
Program manager
Short biography
Jelena is a Program Manager and activist with extensive experience in organizational development, capacity building, and initiating inclusion initiatives. For over two decades, she has dedicated her career to the nonprofit sector, with a focus on organization management and grants. She is committed to promoting human rights and creating an inclusive society.
Jovana Šibalić
PR Manager
Short biography
Graduated at Political Science in Journalism and Communication, Jovana started her involvement in the media two decades ago. First as a journalist and TV personality, then as an editor, she skilfully uses her media knowledge to create new PR strategies. At ASK, Jovana is in charge of communication with the media, and makes sure that all the great projects we do are heard far and wide.
Lena Milovanović
Project assistant
Short biography
Lena is a former participant and alumni mentor of the Lighthouse of Knowledge. She is studying forensic engineering at the Criminalistic-Police University. Legend has it that she is always running a bit late, but it hasn’t been noticed yet. She is the newest member of our team.”
Vid Radičević
Project assistant
Short biography
Vid is a project assistant and andragogy student at the University of Belgrade. He is an alumni of the project “Lighthouse of Knowledge”. He is the youngest member of our small team.
