During October, we started with the second generation of the Green Economy of Serbia project.
The project is implemented with the support of the Open Society Foundation , and was created with the aim of bringing Zero Waste, ie the circular economy, closer to local governments, the economy and the citizens of the two administrative districts. The project will operate in the areas of Pirot, Priboj, Kosjeric and Uzice.
The innovativeness of this project is reflected in the creation of partnership cooperation between citizens, local organizations, environmental associations, as well as businessmen and local governments by building a network of solidarity to advocate sustainable and responsible practices and policies, all in order to exercise the right to a healthy environment.
The project is implemented on three levels –
- Development of info brochures and information campaign for micro and small businesses on ways to regulate and properly dispose of waste generated during production
- Development of a model of economic support, as a program of local support through visits to local self-government
- Local civil society training and promotional campaign for all citizens and all stakeholders
Through these activities and expected results, this project contributes to the mission and vision of the Association for the Affirmation of KAS Culture, which relate to raising public awareness of the importance of ecology and environmental protection.
