The Association for the Affirmation of Culture of KAS, with the support of the City Municipality of Zvezdara, has started with the realization of the project “Gift of Creativity – Small School of Art”. The project was launched in cooperation with the Center for Integration of Youth, CIM, and aims to provide children who live and work on the street, and come to the Children’s Shelter in Zvezdara, the opportunity to acquire artistic literacy. The project includes three months of work with children through painting, drawing and modeling activities.
The program is aimed at developing artistic and aesthetic sensibility in children, visual communication, development of cooperation and self-confidence in teamwork. Also, regular classes and socializing with peers should have a long-term positive impact on children, their behavior inside and outside the inn, as well as awakening interest in creative work and education. The ultimate goal of this project is to divert children from the streets to create and learn in the Inn, schools and other educational institutions.
Activities on the project “Gift of creativity – a small school of art” will begin at the end of June in the Inn on Zvezdara. The program will end with an exhibition of works by children who participated in the project.
