The Association for Affirmation of Culture – KAS implemented the project “Zero Waste 2020” together with the Food Technology Council of Serbia with the support of the Secretariat for Environmental Protection of the City of Belgrade and the Youth Office of the City of Belgrade. The aim of the project is to raise awareness of the importance of food waste and popularize the Zero Waste way of thinking and acting.
A series of educational workshops was held at the KAS Education Center, where we talked to young people from the territory of Belgrade about the Zero Waste principle as well as ways to implement it in everyday life. In addition to educational lectures, we realized round tables with food producers and managers of catering facilities. In this way, together with our partners from the Food Technology Council of Serbia, we opened a space for discussion on the implementation of the Zero Waste concept within the business in these areas.
In parallel with the educational workshops and round tables, a digital campaign on the topic of Zero Waste principles was realized through educational visuals that were promoted on our social networks.
