The project “Gift of Creativity – Small School of Art” continued with painting classes. The children were first explained what basic and derived colors are, which colors are cold and which are warm, and how complementary colors are obtained. After that, they were given the task to paint the sea together on a large piece of paper. With the strokes of the brush, little by little, the children created waves, reefs, sea currents and prepared the base on which they would later place the already made boats. In a short time, the sea for this summer has been revived on big paper.
The next hour was reserved for painting paper boats. The children learned the basic stages of building a picture. They remembered the ornaments and decorations and applied them in their work, so that the boats would be painted as original as possible. Everyone participated equally and with each new move they were thrilled with what can be achieved with a brush and paint. The goal of this joint work is to create motivation for children to create together as a team, to be equal, to be able to help and ask for help, to praise other people’s work and express their opinion.
